2001

La bouteille du vin Le Château Sigalas Rabaud.

As the Sauternes tradition, the grapes are harvested by hand. The selection is present at every stage from the vineyard to the cellar. So, harvesting took place from October due to a rainy July and ended on 10 November. It has been the biggest harvest, with four selections, since 1893 qualitatively close to 1929, vintage of the century. The fermentation is in barrels during twenty days approximately. They have been fast, less than fifteen days, in barrels with a third of new ones.

Tasting

Sigalas rabaud 2001 offers a lovely amber colour which unveils intense and complex aromas on the nose. The warm and fluid palate is smooth, with a good acidity backing which maintains a fresh sensation on the palate. An exceptional vintage !
