Part of the estate is reserved for the production of dry white wines, including La Sémillante de Sigalas. The specific know-how of Sauternes winemakers allows Sigalas to produce it without the addition of Botrytis Cinera. The driving choices of the vineyard are the same as for Premier Cru Classé. The harvest is also carried out manually by successive sorting over maturity. Sémillante is a 100% Semillon, fermented partly in barrels. This wine is a varietal that originated in Bordeaux. However, true to the Bordeaux tradition Semillante remains a wine of blending. Here the blending is not done between the different grape varieties but according to the qualities of the lots which gives complexity to the wine.
